This was a special birth to photograph and I want to explain a little about the pictures. This beautiful mama was a repeat client of mine and her goal was the hospital VBAC of boy/girl twins, while one was in a breech presentation! She ended up going in to labor earlier than expected, so after the little ones were born (Baby B was successfully born breech!) they were unfortunately taken to the NICU. Sarah had a wonderful labor though and I am so grateful I was asked to be there to document it!
Being a part of Aksil and Averys births was honestly one (or should I say two?) of the most rewarding birth photography experiences I have ever had! These 2 labors/deliveries were truly full of love, full of prayer, full of tears… I was so touched watching these families and I can not thank them enough for allowing me to be there. I never say or post much about the births I attend, so I am just going to copy and paste what I wrote on my Facebook fan page afterwards as it pretty much sums it up:
I think that I just witnessed 1 (or 2) of this years highlights! A little boy born around 8 PM last night & a little girl born around 9 AM this morning. They are brother & sister (otherwise known as Baby A and Baby B!) I seriously see the most interesting births! I love my job, I think I will keep it!
The next picture totally makes me think of this quote: “Sometimes I do get to places just when God’s ready to have somebody click the shutter.” ~ Ansel Adams
I have been a bad blogger lately, nothing has been added in over a month! I’m going to try to get pictures from my 5 most recent births up today, but before I move on to the next post I just want to say what amazing births these were! This mom did such a great job during her pregnancy! She carried these baby boys up until one day before her due date and then was able to birth them safely at home despite “Baby A” being breech! After they had both been delivered they went straight into moms arms and never had to be seperated from her or each other. What a blessing that was to all of them!
