This was such a fun birth to photograph! It didn’t go exactly as planned, but both parents had great attitudes and handled everything wonderfully. Dad was hilarious the entire day ~ I don’t want to just repeat everything I said on my Facebook photography page so I won’t, but check it out if you care to read some of his funnier comments.

Being a part of Aksil and Averys births was honestly one (or should I say two?) of the most rewarding birth photography experiences I have ever had! These 2 labors/deliveries were truly full of love, full of prayer, full of tears… I was so touched watching these families and I can not thank them enough for allowing me to be there. I never say or post much about the births I attend, so I am just going to copy and paste what I wrote on my Facebook fan page afterwards as it pretty much sums it up:
I think that I just witnessed 1 (or 2) of this years highlights! A little boy born around 8 PM last night & a little girl born around 9 AM this morning. They are brother & sister (otherwise known as Baby A and Baby B!) I seriously see the most interesting births! I love my job, I think I will keep it!
The next picture totally makes me think of this quote: “Sometimes I do get to places just when God’s ready to have somebody click the shutter.” ~ Ansel Adams
