Jackson has now won the Biggest-Baby-I’ve-Ever-Photographed-Being-Born contest! He was 10 pounds 11 ounces and the best part about this is that his birth was a VBAC and even better, a waterbirth!

I am so happy that I was there to take the above picture! I was called this morning at 8:09 and told to “head to the birth center now!” Mom and dad got there around 8:48, I arrived around 9:10 and Jackson was here at 9:17!

This little one belongs to the chapter leader of ICAN of North Texas. His birth was his moms 2nd HBAC and 1st waterbirth!

This birth was so neat to be a part of because it reminded me so much of my Edens birth. Big sister was able to witness the birth and bond with baby immediately after…

and we also shared the same midwives! Kim Watkins, in black, was at Edens birth and was the designated baby catcher.

Sweet little baby L was born this morning and his parents were so happy to finally meet him! I am so proud of his mommy, she was such a trooper throughout her labor and did an incredible job!

I photographed a lovely homebirth on July 29, but the parents would prefer that no images are shared on the internet, so instead of posting birth pictures I am going to brag a little about something I saw on a water bottle at this birth… ME!
When I was pregnant with my youngest child I took a series of maternity photographs and one of them is currently being used as part of the logo for an area midwife! It was just on business cards, but is now also on t-shirts, bags and water bottles! I really love these pictures and think it is so neat to see them all over.

the image that is being used for the logo ~ 28 weeks pregnant with baby #4…

baby #4, Eden Camille, at 4 days old…

Eden is now almost 9 months old! Time has FLOWN by!
