Cutie pie Oliver is here ~ 3 weeks early! I was so impressed with his mom and dad for a number of reasons, but mostly because of their dedication to skin to skin contact after the birth and....what was in their refridgerator! I know it sounds a little funny, but this mom spent her last days of pregnancy keeping Oliver healthy by snacking on things like watermelon, cherries and plums, when I seem to have a constant desire for cotton candy and coconut snow cones during pregnancy!

I had so many favorite photos from this birth, it was hard to pick a few for the blog, but here is what I chose:

Now that it is July my little photography vacation is over, so I thought I would update all 3 of my blog readers (lol) with what has been going on in my world for the past month...

The biggest news I've got for ya is that I had *the big sonogram* on my birthday and found out that our new baby is a GIRL! This will be our 3rd daughter and we are so excited ~ we meaning myself, my husband and my other 2 girls...my son was not so thrilled, but hopefully he will fall in love once he sees her! Anyways, it was a great day ~ after the sonogram my 3 best friends, 6 year old daughter and I celebrated by eating out and going baby clothes shopping! I intended to buy only 1 very special outfit ~ the 1st outfit she will ever wear ~ but there was a bit of peer pressure involved and I ended up making several purchases. :-)

We didn't get the best sono pictures (shame!) but here is my favorite of our long legged girly:

and here is my most recent belly pic for your amusement:

In other news...we had another great vacation this year and are already looking forward to next June when we head to the beach again! I haven't even looked through all of my pictures from the coast yet, but here are a few that I saw 1st and liked:

And finally, for something a little more normal for the blog ~ a baby! Hers was an incredible birth involving an INCREDIBLE mama! She delivered in the water, which was a real treat for me, because I so rarely see waterbirths, even with all the home and birth center births that I photograph!

Here is the sneak peak for you to enjoy:

Well, that's all for now, but more birth photos will be coming soon!
