It has taken me a little over a week, but I want to (finally) announce the birth of my own little girl! Her name is Eden Camille and she was born on November 7th at 4:04 PM, weighing 8 lbs 15 oz and measuring 20.5 inches long. She was born earlier than what I was expecting and planning for, but she is healthy and an absolute angel, so I am very grateful.
Eden was born in the water and her birth went better than I could have ever imagined it would. My two daughters wanted to and were able to watch their sister be born and though my 6 year old decided not to help catch, my 4 year old did get the honor of cutting the cord. All of my children had their own cameras to document the big event with and I think I can safely say that they won't be much competetion to me in the future ~ most of their photography revolved around close ups of each other with various expressions on their faces. Ha ha.
I am deeply appreciative to everyone who was praying for me, to my dear friends who were understanding and helped me *tremendously* when I was having a hard time and of course, to my midwives, who will have my love and blessings forever.
I wouldn't dare post and not share a picture, so here are a few of my favorites from her birth and the past week!

PJ is one of my favorite little people to photograph! He and his mom have managed to get on my very exclusive 4 month plan (ha) and have no plans to get off any time soon!

AWESOME day today! Baby Tatum was born this morning at around 10 and this was SUCH a special delivery for her parents. With their 1st child mom became extremely ill while on vacation and had to birth 5 weeks early under general anesthesia. Being awake today for this cesarean was a completely new and wonderful experience. Hearing Tatums 1st cries, seeing her immediately and being able to nurse minutes after her birth are memories that will never be forgotten...

I think that it's time I talk about myself for a minute! :-) I am 35 weeks pregnant now and this past weekend my sweet, wonderful, amazing friends had a little shower for me. I had such a great time and am so appreciative of everyone who blessed me with their presence that day. It was supposed to be a beads (for a necklace to wear during the birth with a blessing attached), bottoms (diapers) and books (this is a fairly obvious one!) shower, but there were a few adorable outfits, home-made brownies and 2 packages of cotton candy thrown in for good measure! (The cotton candy was my only personal request, but unfortunately I was unable to have any since it seemed to melt all over the pretty platter it was being served on!) LOL!

And here is my most recent maternity picture that my husband has taken of me! We will do the next at 36 weeks and the last at 40! I can not wait to see how big I get!

Sweet little William was born yesterday (10/10/08) and I think his parents were happy that his was a shorter, easier delivery than that of his big brother, Miguel!
His parents had a photographer present at their 1st birth as well, and I was told that she captured an image of their son tinkling on the OB, so I thought it would be funny to share the image below of that same OB getting the same treatment from their new son! :-)

Marleigh's delivery was my 1st to photograph in October and her mom made it a great one by having a waterbirth! Little girl was full of emotion anytime she wasn't in mom or dads arms, in fact, her newborn exam was deemed "the saddest one ever" because of her pitiful little cry and pout. :-)

I haven't shared an herbal bath picture lately...

Part of the "saddest newborn exam ever," the always exciting weigh in...

I hope you like them!
Sept. 08...
Raegan made her appearance yesterday afternoon and surprised everyone by being over a pound bigger than what they were expecting!

Samuel was born last week and I guess you could call his entrance "fashionably late" as his birth was 18-19 (?) days past his estimated due date! He was a total cutie weighing in at a hefty 9 pounds!
Congratulations mom and dad!

These next photos are from the labor of an amazing woman. Rachael I just want you to know that you were and are absolutely incredible and I am so happy to have met and become friends with you. Your spirit and determination are truly an inspiration to me.
I will add the rest of the photos later! ;-)

This little man was actually born last month in August and he had a very interesting and exciting arrival. Interesting because his birth was his moms 3rd VBAC (just like my upcoming baby will be for me) and exciting because he actually arrived before the midwife did! And before the photographer! Argh! According to his parents though, it was an amazing experience and I can only hope that mine will go as well! (I would like my midwife to make it though...)
I won't soon forget hearing the new daddy answer a phone call shortly after I arrived and say proudly "I JUST delivered my new baby son."
Here are a couple of the highly anticipated photos!

Hope you like them!

Two births in two days!
Yesterday Lark was born at home into her daddy's waiting hands and then snatched right back out of them by her big sister, Jade, and many other very excited family members! Jade was born by cesarean, so this was a very memorable delivery to witness. So amazing to have the birth of your dreams, so special to be a part.

Little peanut Dakota was born the day before and his was also a very emotional birth. I met his mom a few days after she conceived for the 1st time in 2007 and we stayed in touch after the resulting miscarriage and during her next pregnancy. Dakota came about 1.5 weeks before his due date, but to his mom and dad, it wasn't soon enough! They have been waiting for this baby for a long, long time. He has been and will be well loved.
